This was a very tiring day. An extraordinary tiring one. I really wondered why though. It was the same at school. Same lessons, same teachers, same books, same classmates, same classes... Nothing ever changes. So I really wondered why I felt that tired compared to the other Fridays.
As I was walking up the drive to my house, the sky was already getting dark. Stars could be seen popping out one by one sparkling their dim light. I smelt the sent of crysanthemums that was planted in the flower bed down the garden and the mild sweet smell of pine trees. I could see the black figure of Mum appearing at the curtained glass door as the salty cool breeze from the sea blew gently into my face.
'Hi Mum.'
'Oh... your back at last, Athena. Come on in. Dinner's ready.'
I was greeted by Mum with her usual greetings and the warm, inviting light from the house. I went upstairs to my own bedroom to put down my schoolbag. The delicious smell of something very yummy wafted from the kitchen as I made my way down the maple stairs.
'Goody...My favourite dinner...meatballs and spaghetti!!!' exclaimed my younger sister.
'Be quiet and sit down, Cindy. Daddy's gonna be here any moment.' Mum said, handing out plates of spaghetti, which turned out to be my favourite too. As a bonus, there's also apple juice. Did I ever tell you before that I'm a fruit-juice lover?
We were all sitted at the dinning table when the doorbell rang.
'Ding...dong...' it chimed. 'Thank goodness... Dad's finally here and he's on time!' cheered Mum. Beaming, she rushed to open the door. God, she was in a very good mood today.
When the four of us were finally seated, we were able to start our dinner. Mum made it so formal to welcome Dad home. Dad was outstation the whole week before. I wondered what kind of dinner would Mum prepare when Josh, my older brother, came back from the university in England.
'Glad to have me back again, Athena?' Dad chuckled as he patted my head with his free hand. 'He must have caught me grinning to myself,' I thought and put on a happy face despite my tiredness.
'Oof cus, haddy.' It came out all funny as I tried to talk with my mouth full. The others bursted into laughter and I had to change into an apologetic expression instead.
In the end, the dinner turned out to take almost an hour. I was almost asleep by then. I helped my mum to collect the plates and placed them into the dishwasher since my sister didn't seem to have the manners to do so. I did not intend to spoil Mum's happiness anyway. Well, it was around nine at night when I trudged to my bathroom for a bath.
Neither did the cool shower nor the washing up could make me feel less tired. Fortunately, I finished my homework at school. So, I could just pop into my bed and just sleep like a drugged pig.
Soon after I tidied my school bag, I switched off the light and left the night lamp on. I pulled up the soft covers and fell into a deep sleep. Funnily enough, like a drugged pig, as I said I would, or as I thought so.

Part 2
Wow, it was really dark. I thought I had left the warm, orange glow on. I scratched my head, sitting up in bed in the middle of the night. Maybe there had been a thunderstorm causing a short-circuit. I was glad to see the bright, full moon throwing it's beautiful silver rays onto the quiet earth through the window across the room.
That's just like me. Always thinking straight and logically. I'm definately not boosting. My friends, Crystal and Angle said that.
Back to reality. As I was gazing at the moon, I felt an ice-cold hand touching me on my left shoulder. As if I was electrocuted, I snapped my head around to see who was the owner of the hand, thinking it might be my sister. How did she get herself that cold was something I never gave thought of as it does not matter anyway.
I was totally shocked to find myself staring at nothing!!! There was only my fluffy peach-coloured pillow between me and the wall covered with posters of my favourite music band. Only that all came out to be in tones of black and blue. Having never believed in supernatural things, it did not come across my mind that it might be my pillow playing the joke.
Turning back to face the window, I was furthermore shocked to find that it had disappeared. It was replaced by a stretch of wall painted black. Midnight black. Filled with terror now, I stood up and looked around my bedroom only to find that it was only four faces of wall. Stupified, I intended to sit down on my bed to when at least I can try and find a logical answer to these. I was greeted with pain at the bottom having sitting hard down on the hard, cold concrete floor. Tears of pain nearly flew out.
Terrified and at lost of what to do, I massaged where it hurted most. I could see nothing even with my eyes open. So I hugged my knees and bent down my head, with my eyes closed, feeling quite miserable.
No words could best describe the situation I was in by then. Should I say it was nothingness or emptiness? It was totally infinite.

Part 3
There was a tinkling sound of soft, sweet music. A short one. I thought it sounded like tiny bells chiming. I peered up and tried to find the source of it. No use. It's too dark in here. I still can't see a thing even though science states that the human eye can get used to the darkness after a while.
"Ding ding ding... Dong dong dong..." There it is again. I wondered if I had gone mental and shook my head. Hard. As a result, I managed to make myself dizzy. Such great luck.
Suddenly, a rectangle shape glowed blue some distance away. As if it was a magnet and I a piece of metal, I walked towards it without further thought. When I approached it, I found out that it was a door. A heavy-looking metal door that you could find in the dungeons from long ago and in the top-security banks. There were a lot of cravings on the dull, silver door. There was a big, round door knob on the right. I stretched out my hand and turned it. Before that, I took in a sharp breath, curious of what I would find on the other side of the door.
The door turned out to be lighter than I thought. It was no longer giving out the bright, blue light. I stepped into the space beyond and wondered how my fate will be.
To my greatest surprise, I found myself in a caraven. There were ancient trees varying in height and species growing everywhere. A small, winding dirt road stretched out in front of me. I never thought I could reach here from my bedroom. Or did I? My mouth hanged open wide as I looked at the surrounding around me. I observed that I was in a stone caraven. An ancient one. It was semi-bright in here so I could see the different plants found here. There was also the buzzing of bugs and the flapping of the bat wings from time to time. Owls hooted magnificiantly as if the whole night belonged to them.
Oh my god... What was happening right now? What is it that connects my bedroom to this peculiar caraven that I had never noticed in my whole life? Just when I was questioning everything, something brushed against my arm. Furry. Might be an animal of some kind. However, I was scared out of my wits. My questions are left to be unanswered as I resumed the brisk walk down the path, in hope that I would reach a safe place of some kind.
